The Forensic Eye for Clean

Limestone tile before cleaning with coffee spill
Before: Coffee spill on limestone, 4-hour turnaround needed.

Vinohrady Office Lobby: Limestone Crisis

A critical meeting was scheduled for 9 AM, but the lobby featured a prominent coffee stain on pale limestone. The challenge: remove organic material without etching the stone or leaving residue.

Figure Note

We used a pH-neutral, non-abrasive stone cleaner with a microfiber mop. The area was extracted immediately to prevent water penetration. Result: Zero marking, ready for client arrival.

Vinohrady Apartment Kitchen: Grease Abatement

Grease and cooking aerosols coat cabinets and extractor hoods, creating a sticky biofilm. Standard soaps struggle, and scrubbing can damage finishes.

Caption

Industrial steam extraction operates at 150°C. This "dry vapor" loosens grease on contact, and our extractors remove 95% of residual moisture instantly, preventing mold risk.

Greasy kitchen extractor hood before cleaning
Before/After: Steam extraction for biological buildup.

Equipment Protocol

  • Karcher Puzzi 8/1 (extractor)
  • Miele Cat & Dog (HEPA vac)
  • Serpro Lava (oscillating scrubber)

All equipment serviced weekly; zero downtime.

Color-Coded Protocol

One color, one room. Zero cross-contamination. Prevents bathroom bacteria from entering kitchen spaces.

Microfiber cloths are washed at 90°C after each use.

Key Terms

HEPA Filtration

Standard vacuums recirculate dust. HEPA traps 99.97% of particulates. Essential for clients with allergies.

Dry Vapor Steam

150°C steam kills bacteria on contact. Our extractors remove 95% of moisture instantly, unlike DIY steamers.

pH-Neutral Cleaning

We avoid ammonia/bleach. Safer for pets, children, and surfaces like stone or wood.

The 3-Hour Deep-Clean Method

1

T-Minus 0: Assessment

Team lead conducts a walkthrough with the client. We use a digital floor plan to mark high-priority zones (e.g., stain on rug, grease in oven). This sets expectations and identifies delicate surfaces.

2

Hour 1: Top-Down Dust

Begin at the ceiling, cleaning fixtures, crown molding, and window frames. Work down to furniture and sills. Final dry vacuum of floors. No dust falls on cleaned surfaces.

3

Hour 2: Chemical & Mechanical

Pre-treatment of high-traffic areas. Steam extraction for upholstery, grout lines (oscillating brush), and kitchen grease. Floor washing (per surface type).

4

Hour 3: Detail & Verification

Baseboards, window sills, final vacuum pass. The "White Glove" inspection: Team lead uses a flashlight to check edges and corners. Client signs off digitally on our checklist.

Our Trade-Offs & What Changes Our Mind

Decision Criteria

Optimizes for: Deep surface penetration & allergen removal.
Sacrifices: Speed (faster options use harsher chemicals).
What we avoid: Generic "all-purpose" sprays and single-task equipment.

Common Pitfalls (and How We Avoid Them)

Moisture Damage

Using too much water on wood. Our fix: pH-balanced cleaners with minimal moisture and immediate extraction.

Cross-Contamination

Using one rag for the whole apartment. Our fix: Strict color-coded protocol (blue for bath, green for kitchen, etc.).

Air Quality

Vacuuming without a HEPA filter. Our fix: All vacuums have sealed HEPA systems, serviced weekly.

Constraints & Assumptions

Our Service Assumptions

  • • Client provides access & water/electricity.
  • • Heavy personal items are cleared (unless otherwise arranged).
  • • Surfaces are generally in good condition (i.e., not peeling paint).

What Changes This Plan?

  • • Post-renovation dust (requires more time for taping vents).
  • • Biohazard waste (requires specialized disposal).
  • • Elevator scheduling (older Prague buildings).

Client Scenario: Moving Out of a Rental

A tenant in Žižkov needs to return a key to their landlord. They need a deep clean to meet the apartment condition clause. The constraint: they have only 24 hours before their final walkthrough. Our solution: We schedule a 3-hour slot, focus on high-impact areas (kitchen, bathroom, floors), and provide a post-clean report with photos for their documentation.

Mini-Scenario: The Office With a Senior Partner

Beat 1: The senior partner's office is deep-cleaned, but a lingering coffee scent remains.
Beat 2: Our team identifies the baseboard heater as the source—dust has baked into it.
Beat 3: We use a non-abrasive brush attachment on our vacuum for the heater, followed by a steam pass.
Outcome: The smell is gone, and the client is impressed by the attention to detail they didn't know they needed.
